Artist Statement:
I imagine the world as a seed…a fecund kernel in a pod. With the right conditions it will flourish; the wrong conditions and it will wither and die. If we think of ourselves as caretakers rather than exploiters, we can contribute to its long life. In the words of French philosopher Voltaire: “Il faut cultiver notre jardin” or “we must cultivate our garden”.
