Sculpture

My dimensional artwork began with stumpwork, a raised, dimensional, hand-embroidery technique that dates from the Elizabethan era. 3D effects are achieved by padding and applying detached motifs to a background. I have since added wire sculpture, basketry and millinery techniques to create freestanding artwork with an environmental theme.
