Description

Artist Statement:

A stand of Ox-eye Daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare) gently swaying on a wildflower berm at the edge of a nearby field caught my eye. The cluster, delightful on its own, was further enhanced by a visiting Compton Tortoiseshell butterfly (Nymphalis l-album) feeding on the blooms. Not only do these unmanicured areas provide unexpected and beautiful surprises, they also enable the continuation of many species of native plants and pollinators.
